You download free Iphone games or pay for them? It seems that the owners Iphone world can be divided into two halves, the people who are free games as well as people who do not. Direct Iphone Games-1

The most obvious way is simply to run some Google search for "get free Iphone games" or something. It looks like a great idea at first, but when he starts to visit sites that will begin to notice a pattern. Type of site you can easily make all their money from advertising, so when you go you just see a bunch of pop-ups and any other material which is to die for you to click on it. As we have said, these children have no interest in helping to get free Iphone games, they simply exist, that the money from advertisers. You will not find anything of use there, so if you find a site like this, just leave it alone.

Direct Iphone Games-2

The "free" sites. The reason that we call "free" places is that these guys say they will make you free Iphone games and offers the latest downloads, etc., only when you are there you will see that there is very little in the way of free games where to download one or two games available for download, and when you try to download a download speed of attrocious, and the game will be very, very old, to boot. Again, sites like this, do not care about the service they are there simply to make money from advertising.

Direct Iphone Games-3

In other obvious place, a place most people turn to a free Iphone downloads is torrent/P2P sites. It seems that all are familiar with a few places like this, but they really are the worst kind of site, associated with the extension. It is not only illegal, but it may also cause damage to equipment due to viruses and malicious programs that people download it. Everyone knows that you can do so at your own computer the poor, but only because of what is happening in your Iphone? Is it really worth the trouble just to get free Iphone games?

Direct Iphone Games-4

The best place to get games and other free Iphone downloads are, of course, a new type of site you've recently begun to emerge. These sites are excellent, and once to offer a decent service. How it works is that the databases of large downloads for your Iphone-everything: from games to music to films and music videos to TV shows, etc. To access this, you will have to pay a fee to secure your membership. Prices are very reasonable, usually something like $ 40 or so that are necessary for life. On appeal, usually restricted, as well as very high speeds, so it is not too long before he had received more than $ 40 worth. This is my site download choices, and I recommend to anyone promising to fill your Iphone in record time.

Make Long Distance and free Calls from Your iPhone

My cell is my main line of communication to keep connected to my family and friends. When you're on the road, sometimes you have to make calls, even if the person you are calling, very close to its local phone region. This may entail additional costs on their monthly phone plan.

Have you ever noticed that most people do not keep in contact as much as before due to the fact that they do not want to pay for long distance calls. It is unfortunate that some people do not want to make even a business card to hear the voice of a close friend or family member. Text messaging is one of the ways people around this and still keep in touch with your contacts.

I learned that you can make calls from your mobile phone Skype. Skype VoIP is a service that allows you to connect to another via an Internet connection. Now you can download the Skype application for iPhone and IPod touch.

What you get with Skype for iPhone

* Free Skype to Skype calls in WiFi Hotspot
* Get great rates on calls to landlines and mobile phones
* Find a friend on the Internet and send and receive instant messages

How does it work?

When you log into your Skype account from any area of WiFi, you can use Skype, you can make calls, see who in the network and receive calls. You need to connect via 3G, WiFi, GPRS and Edge for the interaction with their contacts. Skype calls are free for other users of Skype. If you connect with users of Skype, rates are very minimal, and you can get a very low monthly subscription, if you prefer.

I am very surprised at how technology has become in recent years. Who would have thought that the current generation, who have access to such technology and comfort. I use Skype at any moment, and believe that service is very reliable.

Skype calls are not only for the iPhone is also compatible with other mobile products.

Skype has a lot of products and services that will enhance your communication experience.

Because you never know when a company like this will begin to charge for this great service, it is better to take advantage of these opportunities while you still can.

Apple iPhone 5 - What Can You Expect?

By
The iPhone 5 - What could become the world's highest selling smartphone to date
In 2011, Apple sold about 30 million iPhone handsets in the last quarter alone. They managed to sell about 20 million iPhone 4S handsets which made the iPhone 4S one of the best sellers so far, in the history of smartphones. The next generation iPhone is expected to repeat that feat.
Analysts are predicting that Apple will be able to sell about 50 million iPhone 5 handsets in 2012 and 2013. What makes this phone so special? Read below to understand that iPhone charm.
A special demand for Apple products
Apple is a revolutionary company that has always put out some really cool and desirable products. They may be over priced in comparison to generic computers, phones and devices that offer similar sort of specs although they are worlds apart when it comes to build quality and design. Just hold an iPhone and a Samsung phone next to each other and you will instantly be able to tell that the build quality, sturdiness and luxurious feel is great on the iPhone, while the Samsung feels cheap and flimsy, even though it might offer similar sort of specs as the iPhone.
The iPhone 5 is expected to receive that similar sort of heavy demand from the public, with people queuing up to buy the next iPhone, after camping outside Apple stores overnight. People seem to want a smartphone that is both technically capable as well as one that can serve as a fashion statement.
New form factor for the new iPhone
The next iPhone from Apple is expected to have a new form factor. Until now, all the five generations of released iPhones look remarkably similar and the public have made it clear that they want to see a change. Apple could be giving it to them by giving them an iPhone with a tear drop design. A tear drop design would inspire a form factor in the iPhone that resembles the design element used in the MacBook Air, Apple's very stylish notebook. With the tear drop design, the iPhone 5 will taper away in thickness from top to bottom, looking like a very unique and sophisticated smartphone.
The next iPhone is also expected to receive a larger screen. Rumors are suggesting that the screen could be as large as 4 inches while some industry sources are saying that the screen could be as big as a 4.7 inch screen. As for display resolution, Apple is expected to retain the retina display resolution on the iPhone as it is already one of the best displays in the smartphone market. There would really be no need for Apple to improve upon that.
Processor and RAM
With Samsung Galaxy apparently gearing up for a Galaxy S3 launch with a quad core processor, Apple are expected to use a quad core processor in the next iPhone as well. RAM will be bumped to at least 1GB of RAM, with a minute possibility of it even being bumped to 2GB of RAM.
The 6th generation iPhone may also possibly use a quad core graphics processor as well.
Release date
This has been another topic of great discussion among Apple customers who have had to endure a pretty long wait for the Apple iPhone 5. People actually expected to buy the iPhone 5 in October of 2011 but were not able to do so as Apple released the iPhone 4S instead of the 5. Now, with Apple just having released the iPad 3 or the New iPad, we can be assured that there will be a few months of a vacuum period before Apple puts out the iPhone 5. Most probably, the next iPhone looks like it will be making its debut in October of 2012.
Interestingly, the October, 2012 release date will also help Apple pay homage to the late founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, as they can possibly release the iPhone on the first death anniversary of Steve Jobs.
Check out this blog for more up to date information on the iPhone 5. You can view pictures, concept models and mockups of the iPhone 5 and also learn about its specs and release date details.

Top 10 Used iPhone Buying Tips - We Cover 16g, 8gb and 4gb Used iPhones

By
Expert Author Cherie Willis
Used iPhone Tip #1: Seek Out Refund Options
Long before you put your money into a used iPhone for sale; make certain the provider of the Phone has a decent return policy, and one that preferably supplies you with a cash back option. Upon the receipt of the used iPhone, inspect the item carefully for exterior damage and interior water damage, and then test the item to make sure it works. If it fails to work, make sure you follow the guidelines set in the used iPhone return policy carefully; some providers of used Apple iPhone 4g, 8gb, and 16gb products place a strict time limit on the time that the consumer has to return the item for cash back or exchange.
Tip #2: Be Selective About Your Used iPhone Purchase
If this is your very first time investing in an iPhone, familiarize yourself with the various features that accompany the iPhone; this way, when you see all the offers out there, you will be able to know precisely what it is you are getting for your money. If you are not new to the iPhone buying experience and you are interested in upgrading your old Apple iPhone 4gb device of any other iPhone for something with more features and options, again familiarity with Apple iPhone offerings is needed. When a consumer knows what is currently available on the market, they are in a better position when it comes time to make their buying decisions.
Tip #3: Buy a Used iPhone with the Appropriate Carrier
Not all iPhones work with every single carrier and this is probably one of the biggest reasons for having to return these phones back to the sellers. The buyer of a used iPhone must seek out a quality phone which is completely compatible with the consumer's preferred cell phone provider.
Tip #4: Verify FCC Compliancy of Used iPhones Since the year 2005
The Federal Communication Commission has implemented a regulation whereby all mobile phone devices must be GPS enabled. The reason for such a regulation is simple; when an emergency arises and the cell phone user dials 911 assistance, if the device is GPS enabled the individual placing the emergency call can be located. If, by chance, a consumer gets a used iPhone that is not GPS enabled, then the item will not work. Therefore, it is best if the consumer questions whether or not the used iPhone in question is FCC complaint and GPS enabled before paying for the device.
Tip #5 Buy a used iPhone with a Verifiable ESN
All cell phones, including used iPhones, come with an electronic serial number. This number is needed in order to activate the phone that is purchased. If the ESN number is one that has been listed as stolen or lost, the used iPhone will not activate when the consumer goes to set up service. If shopping for used iPhones online, be sure to look and see if the seller of the device willingly offers the ESN number of the product they are selling. With an ESN number you can instantly verify whether or not the phone can be easily activated and if the phone is blacklisted.
Tip #6: Verify the Used iPhone Seller's Experience
When buying a used iPhone it is really like buying any other product: you are going to want to know as much about the used iPhone seller's reputation as you can. Check out the iPhone seller's experience by reviewing any feedback that might be presented, by examining what the used iPhone seller stocks, and by asking the seller a lot of questions. The better a consumer gets to know who they are interacting with, the smoother the used iPhone buying transaction will be. If possible, make sure that the seller's primary business focus is on selling used cell phones so that you can rest assured in knowing that the seller specializes in the product that interests you.
Tip #7: When Buying From Online Auctions Know the Seller
If you are electing to buy used iPhones from an online auction, you will find that it is easier to identify a quality seller than you might first imagine. When seeking an auction seller of a 4gb used iPhone, an 8gb used iPhone or a 16gb used iPhone make sure you take a couple of minutes to examine the feedback supplied by other buyers. Feedback will reveal to you how timely the seller responds to questions, how fast the item was shipped and received, and if the seller is reasonable to work with.
Tip #8: Know the Details
It is interesting to note that mostly everything that a buyer has to know about used iPhones is often neatly spelled out in the used iPhone's product description. Yet, so many used iPhone buyers are not fully aware of what they are getting into when they place their order. It is very important to remember that images can be deceiving, that all pictures are not necessarily an exact image of the item being sold, and that the finer details are supplied via product descriptions. If the description one gets about a used iPhone is terse or short, then it is time to ask the seller questions before buying.
Tip #9: Look For Signals that Suggest Poor Quality
When a used iPhone seller states in an iPhone description that the item is in good condition, but then later tells the potential buyer that the used iPhone is for sale in its present condition, "as is," this is a seller's secret code for "the buyer gets the used iPhone, warts and all, with no returns or guarantees." This means that the seller probably suspects or fully knows that there is an issue with the phone in question, or the seller suspects that something will go wrong with the phone in the near future. Rather than dealing with returns, guarantees, exchanges and refunds, the seller uses the terms "as is" to protect him or herself. Thus, when seeing a used iPhone for sale as is, it is better to seek out a different offer.
Tip #10: Be an Informed Consumer
Getting a used iPhone can be less of a hassle if the consumer informs him or herself about shipping costs, shipping time frames, applicable tax, and any additional fees that might be associated with the used iPhone purchase. The more a consumer knows about the seller, the iPhone, the seller's policies, the used iPhone features, compatible carriers, and what to expect, the better the overall buying experience will be.

Unlock Any iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, or iPhone 3GS Right Now with SAM

Unlock any iPhone using SAM
A new unlock method has been discovered that works on every iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 3GS running iOS 5, iOS 5.0.1, and even iOS 5.1, the only requirement is the iPhone must be jailbroken already. If you’re already jailbroke go ahead, otherwise here are guides to jailbreak iOS 5.1 and another guide for the iPhone 4S with iOS 5.0.1.
  • Assuming your iPhone is jailbroken and ready to go…
  • Open Cydia and add the repo “repo.bingner.com” and then search for “SAM” by sbingner and install it
  • Tap on the orange SAMPrefs icon that looks like a SIM card to launch the app
  • Tap “Utilities” and select “De-Activate iPhone”, tap “OK” when the deactivation notification pops up
  • Now tap “Method” and tap on “By Country and Carrier”
  • Tap “Country” and select the country the iPhone is locked to
  • Tap “Carrier” and choose the origin carrier the iPhone is locked to
  • Tap “More Information” and tap the IMSI number found under “SAM Details”
  • Tap on “Spoof Real SIM to SAM”
  • Tap back to the primary SAM setting screen, and paste the IMSI number into IMSI
  • Connect the iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes, letting iTunes reactive the iPhone
  • Disconnect the iPhone from the computer and quit iTunes, then tap on “SAMPrefs” again and flip the “Enabled” switch so that SAM is disabled
  • Relaunch iTunes and connect the iPhone to the computer yet again, ignore the “failed to activate” message and quit and relaunch iTunes again
  • Wait a minute or two and the iPhone should get a signal from the new carrier, it’s now unlocked and activated
iPhone unlocked using T-Mobile as carrier
The downside to the SAM unlock method is that it requires a jailbreak, that means if you lose your the jailbreak you lose the unlock. If you don’t want to jailbreak or you can’t for some reason, you can officially unlock an iPhone from AT&T by phone or through AT&T via web chat instead. It can take several weeks for the unlock request to process with AT&T and the iPhone must be out of contract, but it doesn’t require any funky software mods and is much easier than the aforementioned SAM method.

Rural Wireless Broadband Internet - How Does It Work And How Can I Get It?

What is wireless and how does it work? Wireless can be described as the transfer of information between two or more points that are physically not connected. Distances can be as short as a few meters as in television remote control or long, ranging from thousands to millions of kilometers for deep-space radio communications.
Probably the best example of wireless technology is the cell phone. The world's first wireless telephone conversation happened in 1880, when Alexander Graham Bell and Charles Sumner Tainter invented and patented the photophone, a telephone that conducted audio conversations wirelessly over controlled light beams (electromagnetic waves). Then in 1915 American Telephone and Telegraph thought about creating a wireless phone but they were afraid that this great technology would undermine its monopoly on wired services in the United States. They were right. Over 85 years later this extraordinary little unwired device has revolutionized the telephone industry and put wired phone carriers out of business by offering free long distance, free nights and weekends, free sing up offers, and the convenience of having a mobile phone virtually anywhere on the go.
Common everyday wireless devices also include, garage door openers, cordless phones, two-way radios, satellite television, satellite Internet, GPS, and Wi-Fi.
As the personal computer became popular in the early 1970s, the idea of a portable personal computer came about. In 1981 Adam Osborne produced the first personal portable computer (now called laptop), Osborne 1. It weighed 24 lbs, had a 5 inch screen and cost $1795 ($4,552 today). The demand for the laptop skyrocketed. Consumers desired portability. When the Internet boom hit in the 1990's an idea to connect to the Internet with a portable laptop without a wire came about. Unlike the hard lined personal desktop computer Internet connection this would be wireless and required a faster connection. In 1999 the word Wi-Fi and its yin-yang style logo were created by the Wi-Fi Alliance as a catchier term for IEEE 802.11. Today over 700 million people use Wi-Fi worldwide and there are over 4 million hotspots (places with Wi-Fi Internet connectivity).
How does it work? If you've been in an airport, coffee shop, library or hotel recently, chances are you've been right in the middle of a wireless network. A wireless network uses radio waves, just like cell phones, televisions, and radios do. In fact, communication across a wireless network is a lot like two-way radio communication.
Here's what happens:
  1. Your laptop computer translates data into a radio signal and transmits it using an internal antenna.
  2. A wireless router receives the signal and decodes it. The router sends the information to the Internet using a physical, wired Ethernet connection.
Do you remember when you rode a bicycle with no hands for the first time? "Look Mom! No hands!" Ahhh..free as a bird. Good old days, right? Computer users can relate to that same experience when using wireless for the first time and every time. Sitting at that same "glued" position at that same home desktop computer at that same spot only to get up to find your spine in a gridlock. Did you know the sitting position is the worst possible position for your back and applies the most stress on your spine? No more back pain inflammation flaring up by having to remain in that fixed position in that same old 3-legged hard little wooden chair that has lived up to way more than its life expectancy. Moving from one place to another without having to worry about tripping over wires is made easy. Get comfy and lay down on the couch and watch TV while fiddling around on the Internet with your laptop, browsing news headlines or checking email.
Wireless or Wi-Fi enables the Internet user to roam freely anywhere in their house, business, or other wireless network (up to about 150 feet indoors and 300 feet outdoors) with one or multiple computers.
People that live in urban centralized areas benefit from readily available wireless high speed Internet options and hotspots virtually everywhere. Wireless Internet providers are not as prevalent in rural areas and options for rural Internet are scarce. People in rural areas, areas out in the country, or in areas just past the "cut-off" of conventional high speed Internet service enjoy the same high speed wireless Internet benefits such as connecting wirelessly in the family room, the kitchen, the bedroom, on the porch, or connecting with more than one computer. The increased demand for rural Internet has started to make it more attractive for rural broadband Internet providers to service these remote areas of the country. Rural areas where cable Internet and DSL Internet have limited or no availability can have access to high speed rural broadband Internet service through satellite Internet. HughesNet and Wild Blue, the two largest satellite Internet providers in North America, provide rural Internet without the restrictions and limited availability of hard lined cable or DSL. They provide the solution for high speed rural wireless satellite Internet service in rural areas.
This demand for high speed rural wireless Internet and along with competitors fighting for the next rural customer has driven monthly prices down to an affordable level and free equipment and installation are now becoming the norm. This has been a relief for consumers that are on fixed income or can only afford to get service if the price is under a certain level which the can afford on a monthly basis.
A recent rural Internet survey states that only 24 percent of rural residents have Internet access at home. This small number is a result of many factors, but one of the major reasons is that many cable and DSL Internet service providers do not provide rural broadband Internet services.
Of course, many people living in rural areas access the Internet through dial-up phone lines - sometimes a frustrating and slow experience. With a dial-up Internet connection it can take almost a minute (sometimes longer) for a Web page to load on the screen. Sometimes images and documents cannot be accessed at all because of a slow dial-up connection. Also, using dial-up as a rural Internet provider can tie up phone lines and is not fast enough for a wireless connection.
There is a solution for rural Internet - satellite Internet. Wireless rural broadband Internet is possible through higher speed satellite Internet. With rural wireless high speed satellite Internet, slow or no Internet access is a thing of the past. Now, no matter where you live in the contiguous United States you can have wireless high speed Internet access like you've never had before. And you'll finally be able to surf the Internet without tying up your phone lines and connect wirelessly at high speed with rural wireless Internet.
What does wireless broadband mean? Simply put, wireless broadband means high speed wireless Internet access. To understand it more specifically, you have to think in terms of data transmission or the amount of time it takes to send messages from your computer to another computer. In other words, how long does it take for you to download information from a Website?
A dial-up Internet connection transfers data at a rate of up to 56 kilobits per second (56K). Average dial-up Internet users typically connect around 20 to 30 kilobits per second (20-30K) or sometimes even slower. This is a slow data transfer rate. A wireless broadband satellite Internet connection provides a data transfer rate of 50-100 times that much.
With download speeds from 1000 kilobits per second to 5000 kilobits per second, a high speed wireless rural satellite Internet connection provides faster download times of images and documents, and the capability of viewing more online information at one time without frustration or interruptions in service. And rural broadband Internet through satellite is only going to get faster. In January 2012 HughesNet, the largest provider of rural high speed satellite Internet service in North America, will be launching a new satellite named "Jupiter" and will be capable of reaching speeds of over 100 gigabytes per second to further fuel HughesNet's rapidly growing high demand for high speed rural Internet.
With this high rate of data transmission, rural broadband satellite Internet users can reach higher connection speeds and are capable of having a wireless connection. Receiving information and posting information online are all done at higher speeds. Download photos, email, bank and shop online, research, web browse, even go to school online or own and operate a home based business. All of this can be done with increased Internet speeds with a rural wireless satellite Internet connection as your rural Internet provider.
Businesses and consumers both benefit from high speed rural satellite Internet as their rural broadband Internet provider because it has a proven track record of reliability. High speed rural wireless satellite Internet provides an 'always on' Internet connection, meaning you never have to wait for your modem to dial in to the internet. No phone line is required so there is no hassle for logging off to wait for a phone call or to make a phone call.
When you order rural wireless high speed satellite Internet for your rural Internet access, a certified installer will come to your home and install the Internet service. Installation includes installing a satellite dish outside your home in a south-facing direction and connecting your computer to a satellite modem. This will give you broadband satellite Internet access. The technician is required to show you how to connect to the Internet and confirm your signal and connection speed.
Using high speed rural satellite Internet is just like riding a bike! High speed rural broadband Internet is just like using cable Internet or DSL. It doesn't matter where you live. Your home can be connected to rural broadband Internet anywhere - even in rural areas.
It's amazing how fast technology has traveled since the invention of the photophone over 100 years ago!
Get fast wireless high speed Internet through high speed rural satellite Internet and start getting the most out of your rural Internet service and you will find yourself saying, "Look Mom! No hands!" To learn more about high speed rural wireless satellite Internet click HERE

5 Effective Ways to Boost Your Wi-Fi Connection

Got a Wi-Fi connection but it's running really slow? Fortunately, there's a simple set of tricks you can use to boost the speed of Wi-Fi on any Windows PC. Here's how...
1) Only Use One "Internet Program" At Once - Programs such as Skype, AIM and MSN all take up massive amounts of Wi-Fi bandwidth each time you use them. Many people don't realize this, and have all sorts of programs loaded on their PC whilst they are trying to browse the Internet, and wonder why it's running slow. You need to close down all the programs you are not using, as they will just be slowing your Wi-Fi connection down. Wi-Fi connections only have a certain level of "bandwidth" which means that you can only get so much data through the connection at any one time. If you have too many programs trying to constantly get that data, you'll just end up making your entire connection run slow.
2) Install The Latest Drivers - The drivers of your system help Windows to actually run the hardware on your PC. They are needed for every component on your system, but in order to get your wireless network running as fast as possible, you need to have the latest drivers to ensure maximum connectivity. You should look on the manufacturer's website for the latest driver downloads and they should give you plenty of instructions on how how to install them.
3) Update Your Card or Router - I'm guessing this isn't going to be too popular piece of advice, but it's one of the easiest ways to speed up your Wi-Fi. If you have a PC, then you should try and update your Wi-Fi card to an "N" card (the fastest) and you should try updating your router to one which supports the N format of speed. This will allow your network to run at 100mb/s over wireless, which is extremely fast.
4) Secure Your Network With A WPA Key - Too many people just leave their networks exposed to unwanted users by not protecting it. You should put a "WPA" onto your network, which is basically just like a password for it. This password will only allow you & your family to access your Wi-Fi, speeding it up. It's often the case that people will just "leech" people's Internet connections if they get the chance to as they are not secure.
5) Clean The Registry - This is a widely recommended piece of advice because it works quite well. Basically, the 'registry' is the database which stores information about your computer and software. It keeps information ranging from your latest emails, desktop icons and even your most visited websites stored inside... and it also keeps details about your Wi-Fi connection. What sometimes happens is that Windows will accidentally save some of these connections settings in the wrong way, making them unreadable. This causes your computer to take longer to read the registry settings it needs to run, slowing down your connection. To fix this, you can download a 'registry cleaner' from the Internet and then use it to speed up your system. These tools are automated and work quickly to fix any of the problems that you will have on your system.
In order to boost Wi-Fi speed, you should follow the instructions on this tutorial and you can use a registry cleaner program to boost the speed as well. You can download a registry cleaner to boost the speed of your Wi-Fi connection.

Vodafone Pocket Wifi - What Everybody Ought to Know About It Before Buying

A Vodafone pocket wifi device is the answer to your dreams if you've been wanting a portable wifi hot spot that you can take with you where ever you go. Having your own fast, reliable and secure hot spot is a must for anyone who takes their online security seriously. Is Vodafone's pocket wifi up to the task? Let's take a look.
Security - Using free or otherwise unknown, public networks puts your data at risk but not all portable wifi devices are secure either! Many don't include the functionality or aren't set up to be secure out of the box. The pocket wifi device from Vodafone is NOT like this!
It is set up by default to include WPA2 encryption and the password is unique for each device. It's perfect for those people who don't understand how to secure a wireless hot spot but need such protection.
For those that want to configure the device further, the gadget is capable of hiding SSID and provides all manner of encryption technologies such as WEP, WPA, WPA2-PSK or mixed. You can also change the name of the device if you wish.
Speed - The Vodafone pocket wifi is FAST! You can expect a top end connection speed of 7.2Mbps when downloading and 5.76Mbps for uploading in and around the capital cities of Australia.
At these speeds, it's an ideal replacement for your fixed connection at home. With a broad range of data plans, many people are saving money but going wireless and getting rid of their home phone and expensive ADSL Internet connections.
Compatible With Apple Products & The PC - Gadgets like the iPad, iPhone and tablet computers are gaining in popularity due to their functionality and portability. Whether you're still using a PC or are a Mac fan doesn't matter as Vodafone has covered both bases.
The pocket wifi is independent of any operating system which means provided the device you are using has wireless capability (just about everything manufactured after 2005 does!), it will function fine with the pocket wifi.

Wireless or Wired Internet: Which Is Faster?

Expert Author David S Phillips
It used to be that work and home networks were generally set up using a wired connection. However, with the exponential growth in internet usage in recent years, internet companies are now doing everything in their power to compete and have an edge. They are offering options to go wireless, and are dishing out hardware that will allow you to connect from virtually anywhere. They promise more convenience and reliability to go online wirelessly, connecting you to broadband and 3G mobile networks through USB ports. If you are considering getting or changing your current internet connection and speed is one of your top priorities then before committing to a plan, you will need to ask, wireless or wired internet: which is faster?
While wireless internet is extremely convenient and hassle free, the speed you get from it is less than optimal compared to wired internet. Many people are willing to override this factor because they believe that the advantages of surfing the web wirelessly outweigh its lack of speed. However for many others this could be an issue. Although, wireless internet is here to stay, it is worth remembering that at least for now, wired connections are faster than wireless ones. Here is the breakdown as to why this is.
One of the reasons that wired internet is faster than wireless is that the Ethernet hubs, switches and cables and other equipment are very reliable and sturdy. The only hurdle you might have of course is tripping over a running cable that provides your internet, other than that your wired connection has almost nothing that could impeded from reaching maximal speeds. Wireless internet on the other hand is very vulnerable to interferences. For example many household appliances such as microwaves, cordless phones that use the same radio frequencies can interrupt the transmission being sent from the wireless router. Also the signal strength depends on how close you are to the router and you have more risks with the connection being dropped for other reasons.
In terms of performance, the type of connection that a wired network has to the router and higher bandwidth makes it faster than wireless internet. Wireless networks work on half-duplex mode, meaning that it can't send and receive at the same time and that no two devices can send data at the same time. Also the more users you have on the network, the slower the internet. On the other hand a wired connection has a full-duplex connection to the router and can send and receive data in parallel. Bandwidth also plays a big role in how fast your internet is. If you have a high speed but not enough bandwidth you can't really take advantage of it and most wireless networks have less bandwidth than wired networks.
Finally, the speeds themselves vary greatly between wired and wireless networks. A wired LAN can boast speeds up to 100Mbps or even more; however wireless internet has not yet been able to reach more than 54 Mbps.
So it really comes down to convenience, because when it comes to speed it's a no brainer. Wired networks are not only much faster, but they are also more cheap and reliable. Wireless however has the major advantage of allowing you to move while enjoying your internet experience.

How to Find More of the Best iPhone Apps

In previous articles we have been looking at iPhone apps best suited for what you use your iPhone most. Do you use it extensively for business? Is your iPhone more for personal use? Do you travel a great deal or do you like to use it for play and fun? Whatever the reason you use your iPhone there are apps available for either free or nominal fees at iTunes and many new apps stores that are trying to distinguish themselves from iTunes so that they get noticed. A recent article said that the number of apps on iTunes will go over 300,000 some time in November 2010. If you are an app developer how do you get your iPhone apps best noticed by consumers if you are buried among several hundred thousand other apps?
Most review sites for apps categorize them by utility and pay status. The best review sites list the various apps in category in order based on their statistics from iTunes (download numbers). For example, we mentioned that the Free Apps were categorized as the Top 50 Free... and the Top 50 Paid... Apps in the review site appstoreapps.com. Under the free category for Utilities I noticed there was a WiFi locator function. How can this be of any help when your iPhone has its own WiFi capability and if you can not get online then you know you are not near a WiFi hot spot. I guess it could come in handy if you want to get online with your lap top and do not have an idea of where to go.
If you are one of those people who just love ringtones and you have pretty much exhausted the Myxer site you can download for free the 1001 Ringtone Lite (Free ringtones) app. There were some excellent reviews that said this was perfect for those who do not want to pay $.99 for ringtones on iTunes and who do not like the packaged ringtones that come with the iPhone. The biggest complaint I could see was that it was difficult choosing ringtones due to the fact that there were so many good ones.
If you use your iPhone mostly for business there are several apps that can make your device a much more powerful one. There are apps for UPS, USPS and FedEx and even a Zip Code finder that can help you with any kind of shipping problems or issues that come along. Keep in mind that these are free apps and do not require any kind of subscription or membership to use. The USPS app gives you maps of the closest post offices to your location given by GPS along with the ability to estimate postage and track any packages or letters with tracking numbers. The USPS, UPS and FedEx apps are iPhone apps best used by people in logistics that have an iPhone.
The UPS and FedEx apps are both very similar in functionality to their main web sites with tracking available right away along with a map with shipping center locations pin pointed on a map based on the GPS location of your iPhone.

How to Use FaceTime on the iPhone Without Being on WiFi

Expert Author Jeremy Bates
Are you as fascinated by the new FaceTime feature on the iPhone 4 as I am? At the same time are you as extremely annoyed by the fact that the only time FaceTime works is when you are on WiFi? If these two topics apply to you, the following article will help you to get past this issue.
The first topic to consider before you get your hopes up is the topic of Jailbreaking your iPhone. If you are against jailbreaking your iPhone due to fear of losing Apple support you may want to stop reading now. You do need to remember that you can unjailbreak the phone by simply restoring the phone. That being said, step number one is jailbreaking the phone.
The way to jailbreak the phone is by using a variety of programs including yellowsnow or redsnow. Please remember thy once the phone is jailbroken, you will have to wait until the next jailbreak version to come out prior to updating the phone. Most jailbreak programs will tell you how to update the iPhone once you have their program onboard.
Once jailbroken you can simply click on one of your friends names with an iPhone 4 and dial them via the FaceTime option (while on 3G or wifi). Remember that 3G might be spotty transmission; however I have not run into any issues with my 3G transmission.
You should now be well on your way to using FaceTime anytime you wish. Remember that should you need apple support, simply follow the restore instructions from the jailbreak program you installed.

How Do You Become a WiFi Hotspot?

WiFi is a very hot commodity worldwide...for both users & those wanting to cash in on the business potential. Below you'll find some things to consider if you're one of those interested in the business potential of WiFi. If you have more to add....please do.
I'll try to keep this as simple as possible.
Here's some simple ideas you should consider for becoming a WiFi Hotspot.
* To turn your business into a hotspot, you really only need 2 things:
- Hotspot Kit (which should include hardware, software, and remote monitoring)
- High Speed Internet (whatever is appropriate for your situation....DSL, T1, or DS3 connectivity)
* Before you order your hotspot kit, you need to first determine what type of service you will need:
- Single Access Point OR
- Multiple Access Point
The number of connection points you need is determined by the amount of area that you wish to make available for wireless internet access. For example....larger hotels will require one access point per every 20 rooms (on average) while a coffee shop can adequately service their clientele with just a single access point.
* The last decision you will need to make is whether or not to bill your clients for wireless internet access. Today, more and more enterprises are offering wireless internet access as a value-added service in an effort to attract more visitors to their hotels/shops. In today's competitive environment, offering complimentary hot zones can be the determining factor when customers weigh your offering against that of your competitors.
However, should you find that billing your customers is what you want to do, find a provider who can help you do that. Your hotspot kit should come with software that will enable you to take credit cards right over your gateway (the page the users 'see' when they try to access the web using your hotspot). You'll likely partner with that provider in that revenues would be shared by both you and "them". Thae provider you choose will make sure the hotspot is running efficiently. This allows you to focus on your key business and to receive a profit-share check each and every month your customers log on to the net in your hotspot.
The above is a simplistic description of what you'll need to think about before becoming a WiFi hotspot. Do your homework along these lines and you'll have a decent foundation to make a good business sense decision.

Creating and selling an iPhone app is a dream for many, but that just can't be done if you don't have any idea of what you need to do. This is definitely a tough business, but when you make it and you finally succeed, then you can be sure of earning lots of cash in the long run. So, I'll outline below several ways for you to create your very own iPhone app. With the right help, resources, and information, you can create one that will sell very well in the iTunes store.
How to Make an iPhone App
The first step to creating one is by simply coming up with your very own set of ideas. This is tough especially if you don't have many good ideas. I suggest that you put all your good ideas together to create an iPhone app. Most apps are actually created by simply brainstorming and bringing together several ideas. That's all you have to do in the beginning.
Do it yourself versus professional services
Most people have their iPhone apps created by professionals or those with experience in creating them. Doing it yourself is a good way to save money, as you won't have to pay anybody. The only problem is that you won't get the chance to get it successfully up there if you don't really know what to do. If you happen to have a really good software, then you should definitely be able to succeed.
Some Tips In Creating Your Own iPhone App
A great tip worth remembering is to simply come up with some good ideas. Don't be so caught up in creating games and only games, as you won't get the chance to expand. Instead, try coming up with some good ideas outside the gaming world like educational apps, music related apps, jokes, advice column, and basically anything can become an app.
It's all about knowing what the majority of the users want. This can be difficult if you plan to create the app on your own, which is actually what I suggested. Remember to have lots of basic knowledge and a good software to rely on.
As iPhone apps are extremely popular in this generation, try to get into the business as soon as possible. The sooner you begin, the better are your chances of succeeding. The money in this business is unlimited, as people are always willing to download new apps every single day. iPhone Apps - How To Make Your Own iPhone Apps Without Using Software

Expert Author Olive Bush
iPhone apps are incredibly useful. Download your chosen icon and hey presto, instant access to information or game without having to use the web browser. Great shortcut and great invention! If you are a techno geek and love the idea of making up your own app, how easy is it to accomplish? Do you need tons of special software? Where can you find out more information? In this article, I would like to show you how to make your own iPhone apps without using software.
1) The first thing to decide when making your own iPhone app is what type you will make? Start your plan by deciding which section of the market you will appeal to. Is it going to be informational, educational, musical or a game? Will it appeal to adults, teens or children? Write your thoughts and ideas down. When you brainstorm, just be aware that games are a little bit more complicated to make. Once you have a cast-iron idea, proceed to step 2.
2) Hire a programmer. Unless you are super whizz-kid and know a great deal about making iPhone apps, find a programmer! You won't need to use any special software and you can be spared hours of frustration. They already have all the technical know-how and can flesh out your idea really quickly and make it work. Check out graphics on their previous work to make sure it fits in with your ideas. Once you are satisfied, hire them to bring your baby alive!
3) Choose an app name. Before you proceed to step 4, it is worthwhile spending time researching a name for your iPhone app. Make sure there isn't anything similar out there - especially if you are planning to use the name to brand yourself.
4) Create a website. Your website should appeal not only to the age group you are wanting to sell to, but also the niche market you have chosen. Having a real jazzy website with loads of bright colours to promote a puzzle iPhone app is not going to appeal to slightly older puzzle geeks, so set the tone well. Check out other iPhone apps - especially really new ones like Kolo's journey. Make a note of the sites that appeal to you and why. Using all the information you gathered, create your own website.
5) Sell your app. Believe it or not, this is the most important step in creating your iPhone app. All the other steps will be a real waste of time if nobody knows:
a) your app exists
b) where to find you
c) if you have new products lined up
