How to Increase Browsing and Download Speed in Windows 7 and Vista

There are two ways you can do to increase your internet speed.
If you want to try this out, follow the steps below for the first method:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools and then select Internet Options.
3. Click on Advanced tab.
4. From the settings, scroll all the way to the bottom.

Continue with following steps for the second method (This method might not work well):
By default, the TCP autotuning is enabled in Windows Vista. Many websites do not respond well with this feature. So these sites are loaded slowly.
To disable TCP autotuning feature,
1. Firstly open the Run option from the Start menu.
2. Type cmd in the box of Run option.

3. A command prompt will show up, type netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= disabled in it and then hit enter.

4. The TCP autotuning should be disabled now. Close the command prompt and restart your computer.
To restore or re-enable the TCP autotuning feature,
1. Type cmd to the Run option and then type netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= normal in the command prompt. Press enter, close it and then restart your computer.
The TCP autotuning should be enabled now.
