Your PC has several built-in shortcuts that will allow you to accomplish tasks faster or get to where you're going in an easier, less complicated way. These built-in shortcuts are designed for typing, formatting, and Windows management. Each Internet browser has shortcuts as well, which can make your online experience even more convenient.
Here are the top 10 shortcuts for Internet Explore, Firefox, and Opera that everyone should know and love!
Internet Explorer Shortcuts
1) Alt+Home This combination of the "Alt" key and "Home" key will take you to your browser's homepage.
2) Alt+Forward Arrow By pushing the "Alt" key and your right arrow key at the same time, your browser will move you "forward" in your history.
3) Alt+Back Arrow Hitting "Alt" and your left arrow key will take you back a screen on your browser. It's the same as using the onscreen back button.
4) Ctrl+Plus Key For those of us who are a little hard of seeing, your "Ctrl" key and your "+" (shift +) will zoom in.
5) Ctrl+Minus Key The "Ctrl" and "-" key will zoom back out.
6) Ctrl+B If you push "Ctrl" and "B" you will open a pop-up window will open that gives you access to your Favorites and organizational tools so you can create folders, move files, and rename existing favorites.
7) Ctrl+J "Ctrl" and "J" will open your web "Feeds" window in Internet Explorer.
8) Ctrl+E To send your cursor to your search query box, hit "Ctrl" and "E".
9) Ctrl+T You can open a new IE tab by hitting "Ctrl" and "T" together.
10) Alt+D You can autoselect the address bar with "Alt" and "D".
Firefox
1) Alt+Home These keys together will take you back to your homepage.
2) Alt+Forward Arrow If you've hit the back button, you can hit "Alt" and your right arrow key to take your browser forward again.
3) Alt+Back Arrow This shortcut works in place of Firefox's "Back" button. It will take you back one page in your browser.
4) Ctrl+Plus To zoom in on your browser's content, click "Ctrl" and "+" (shift+).
5) Ctrl+Minus Zoom out with "Ctrl" and "-".
6) Ctrl+B Open a pop-up window of your Favorites with "Ctrl" and "B" so you can organize folders and links.
7) Ctrl+J In Firefox, Ctrl+J opens your Downloads window.
8) Ctrl+K When you push "Ctrl" and "K" together, your cursor will automatically appear in your browser search field so you can start typing your search criteria.
9) Ctrl+T You can open a new Firefox tab by hitting "Ctrl" and "T" together.
10) Ctrl+L This combination takes your cursor up to the URL bar.
Opera Shortcuts
1) Ctrl+Space Hit the "Ctrl" button and "Space" bar at the same time to be taken to your homepage.

3) Ctrl+Back Arrow This combination will take you back one page in Opera.

5) Ctrl+Minus Zoom out with press "Ctrl" and "-" simultaneously.
6) Ctrl+B With your "Ctrl" and "B" keys you can open a pop-up window of your Favorites so you can organize folders and links and names.
7) Ctrl+Shift+7 Open your Transfers panel with "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "7".
8) Ctrl+E Go directly to your search field with "Ctrl" and "E".
9) Ctrl+T You can open a new tab in Opera by hitting "Ctrl" and "T" together.
10) Ctrl+L This combination takes your cursor up to the URL bar.
